What is Medicare Insurance?

Medicare insurance is a national health benefit program sponsored by the U.S. Government and managed by the Social Security Administration.

Medicare insurance generally available to people age 65 and older. Younger disabled people, such as those with permanent kidney failure, may also be eligible.

Medicare insurance plans are divided into several parts:

Medicare Part A pays benefits for hospital due to catastrophic events and some skilled nursing home care.

Medicare Part B helps pay for doctor services and outpatient care, it also provides preventative services to maintain your health.

Medicare Part C also known as Medicare Advantage Plan combines Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B and sometimes Medicare Part D coverage for your prescription medications.These plans are managed by private insurance companies approved by Medicare and "Must" cover medically necessary services.

Medicare Part D provides prescription drug coverage.This coverage may help individuals lower their prescription cost and higher cost in the future.
